About Us: About Us

The farm and ranch has been in the family for 4 generations, working on the 5th. Traditionally the farm has produced feed for livestock, and raised livestock that are sold at auction. One way to encourage the next generation to be involved with the farm is to add a component of selling beef directly to local members of the community. The farm is a family run business where everyone pitches in; whether its helping with delivering beef, feeding animals, growing and harvesting feed, or working with customers and the processor to get orders correct. 

The beef enterprise is founded on 3 pillars; quality people, quality cattle, and contribution to community.

About the Beef 

A typical beef from Christensen Family Cattle is a Hereford-Angus cross with careful selection of quality genetics. It is born in the fall and grows on hay and mama's milk until the pastures green up. Then they graze on pasture until fall, where a few beef are selected to finish out for our customers. Those selected are put on a ration of, hay, silage, and grain, all grown on the farm, until nicely finished.
